Sep 5 Art Showcase

Art workshops have been taking place in our YES since July 2018, twice a week. It is a safe and welcoming space for any youth who would like to express themselves through painting, whether they are an experienced painter, or are trying it for the very first time. The ISObox where the workshops take place is brimming with beautiful artworks from the talented youth, we have completely run out of wall space.

يقدم YES ورش الفنون منذ شهر يوليو عام 2018 حيث تقام الورش مرتان أسبوعياً. يستقبل المكان كل الشباب سواء الرسامين منهم أو المبتدئين. الشئ الوحيد الذي يجمع بين المشتركين بهذه الورش هو حب الرسم وإستخدامه كوسيلة للتعبير عن أنفسهم. تمتلئ جدران الكارافان بالعديد من الأعمال الفنية الرائعة التي رسمها الشباب.

Art Party:

In April we hosted an Art Party, an event through which he exhibited art from workshops over the past months. It provided all artists with an opportunity to share their creative art with the community who came along to admire the countless works of art. The event was filled with talent, dancing, music, singing and art!

حفلة فنون

في شهر إبريل, قمنا بعمل إحتفال فني حيث عرضنا فيه كل الأعمال الفنية التي رسمها الشباب في الشهور الماضية. من خلال هذا الحفل, إستطاع الشباب مشاركة رسوماتهم مع الحاضرين المهتمين بإبداعتهم الفنية. إمتلئ الحفل بالمواهب المختلفة مثل الغناء والموسيقى والفنون

Meet the artists

Emad

Artist Emad is 24 years old from a city called Semil Kurdistan, and he has been in Ritsona for 6 months. He has painted a couple of times before in the island of Samos, and has started to paint frequently in Ritsona whilst attending the YES. Emad is a natural creative, his paintings are beautiful, and his skills are becoming more and more apparent through the progress of his artworks.

Emad has shared in reference to Ritsona, that;

“This place is like a prison without any doors.”

Emad mentions that coming in to the art class makes him happy, and is a means of getting some relaxation, of both his body and his brain. “I like to paint reality… the life, the mountains. Nature in a realistic way”. Painting is a way for Emad to reflect on parts of nature, and recreate them in a beautiful way.

فنان عمره ٢٤ عام من مدينة سميل في كردستان وهو يعيش في مخيم ريتسونا منذ ستة أشهر. رسم عماد بعض الأعمال من قبل في جزيرة ساموس ولكن بدأ أن يرسم أكثر في مخيم ريتسونا ومنذ أن بدأ في حضور ورش الفنون في

يعتقد الجميع أن عماد هو شاب موهوب بالفطرة وتعبر لوحاته الجميلة دائماُ عن روحه الإبداعية. تظهر لوحات عماد تحسن مهاراته يوم بعد يوم

ذكر عماد أن حضزره ورش الرسم يجعله سعيداً حيث يجد بها طريقة لإسترخاء بدنه وعقله

"أحب أن أرسم واقع الحياة التي نعيشها مثل الجبال والطبيعة: كل ما هو حقيقي وواقعي". بالنسبة لعماد، يعتبر الرسم هو وسيلة تمكنه من إظهار الطبيعة وإعادة خلقها في شكل أجمل

Agit

Agit is a very talented artist from Afrin. He is particularly interested in languages, history, archaeology and art - specifically painting. Agit has expressed that he has always wanted to paint, however he has not had the opportunity because of the war in Syria. After coming to Ritsona, Agit mentions that new horizons opened, as there is a space to paint a couple of times a week at Lighthouse.

Agit shares, “I found a missing part of myself in painting. When I paint, I find peace, love and calmness”.

Agit’s ability to paint is remarkable. His attention to detail, focus, understanding of depth, structure and colour is outstanding. The time and care put into each work is very much apparent through the realistic nature of his work. Agit’s artwork is admired by many in the Ritsona community, and we look forward to seeing all of his painting on the walls of a gallery one day.

أغيت فنان موهوب من أفرين. مهتم باللغات بصفة خاصة، والتاريخ، و الآثار، والفن -خاصة الرسم

عبر أغيت عن انه أراد دائماً ان يرسم ولكن لم تتسنى له الفرصة بسبب الحرب في سوريا. بعد مجيئه لمخيم ريتسونا وإنضمامه لمحيط مؤسسة لايت هاوس، ذكر أغيت ان أفقاً جديداً فتحت له بعد توفر المكان للرسم مرتين في الاسبوع في

"وجدت قطعة مفقودة من نفسي في الرسم" يقول أغيت

"عندما ارسم اجد السلام والحب والهدوء" أضاف أغيت وهو يعبر عما يمثل الرسم له

موهبة أغيت في الرسم مذهلة. إهتمامه بالتفاصيل وتركيزه وفهمه للعمق والبناء والألوان مدهش. الوقت والاهتمام المبذولان في كل قطعة واضحان جداً في طبيعة عمله الفنية الواقعية. أعمال أغيت محبوبة من قبل الكثير في مجتمع ريتسونا ونحن ننتظر أعماله القادمة بحماس

أرى بأن الفن هو من الأساسيات القويمة للحياة لأنها الوسيلة الأكثر شيوعاً للتعبير عن ما بداخلك من مشاعر و أفكار

كما انني أجد الارتياح و المتعة من خلال الرسم و التدقيق و الأبتكار من المخيلة…

Michael Georges:

Michael is a highly talented artist from Syria. He is 20 years old, and he has been painting for 3 years. Michael likes to paint the sea, the sky, and landscapes, drawing his inspiration half from pictures or photos, and at other times from his imagination. He uses mainly oils or acrylics, and likes to paint alone.

He paints beautifully, and his art is admired by many. He is a self-taught artist, and his ability to capture nature and experiment with colour and various painting techniques is impressive.

Michael is unsure what his future will hold, however painting is something that he will carry forward and continue. We look forward to seeing where Michael’s art takes him, as his artworks are already starting to scatter around the globe with collectors of art.

مايكل جورج

مايكل فنان موهوب جداً من سوريا. في العشرين من عمره ويرسم منذ ثلاث سنوات. يحب مايكل رسم البحر، والسماء، والطبيعة، ونصف إلهامه يأتي من الصور، أما الباقي، فهو من خياله. يستخدم الزيت بشكل رئيسي او الاكريليك، ويحب الرسم وحده.

يحب الكثيررسومات مايكل لإنها جميلة. إنه فنان علم نفسه بنفسه وقدرته على ملاحظة الطبيعة وإختبار الألوان وتقنيات رسمه مختلفة مبهرة حقاً.

مايكل غير متأكد من ما سيأتي به مستقبله، لكن الرسم شيء سيظل معه دوماً. نطوق لمعرفة أين سيأخذ الفن مايكل، حيث أن أعماله الفنية بدأت تنتشر بالفعل عبر العالم مع جامعي الفنون
