Music in the YES

Music in the YES

Lighthouse Relief provides the youth of Ritsona with a range of musical instruments, thanks to kind donations from ISMP. They have donated guitars, tanburs and drums to the space as well as paying for weekly guitar lessons. The instruments are a huge draw to the space and the sound of the youth singing and playing can often be heard around camp.

Thanks ISMP for all your support!

Mohammed Daoud:

Playing Tanbur is one of my hobbies. I love it. My uncle taught me how to play it when I was just 10 years old. It was a little bit hard at first. However, when I learned it, I loved it a lot.

It's just a hobby and not a job. I would like to thank Lighthouse Relief for their help and the opportunity to play it.

Rayan Chafshen:

I love playing the guitar, it is a nice, happy instrument. I think it helps people and gives them something to do in their spare time, especially when a person is alone, it helps them to have a happier time.
