My Mirror

My Mirror

 We will find home.

We will find home.

There’s a place that will take us.

“Every cloud has a silver lining.”

But

Home is gone.

No matter what they say,

Losing faith is always an available option.

People are dying.

Most don’t want us to be free.

There is no food.

There is no water.

Build a wall.

Throw us in jail.

Turn us back.

They will never

Say we contribute to the human race.

Of course they

Laugh.

Tell jokes.

Live.

Even though we perish, we still survive.

But

We still suffer

In different ways,

We still go through immense pain.

Void of hope.

Even the word hopeless is not

A vision far from reality.

We are done being refugees with nowhere to go,

We are done.
