Marcelo Ribeiro Filho Collection: III
Photographer and researcher, artist Marcelo Ribeiro Filho shares recent work from Guinea-Bissau. As a continuation of his visual work, he invites us to spend one afternoon on the waterfront of Cacheu. Find his previous collections in Film & Photography.
On my second visit to Guinea-Bissau, 2019, I received Gorveno's invitation to learn more about the country's structure, schools, museums, preservation areas, among others.
During the trip, the arrangement was that I would have free time to walk alone and see the places and one morning in the city of Cacheu I was able to meet with these young people who were preparing to swim.
The experience was great, playful and without pretension, and I could make pictures that are a part of how I feel about the land.
