In collaboration with Narratio, the North Side Learning Center in Syracuse, NY, and Syracuse University, The Department of Ancient Near Eastern Art (ANE) at The Metropolitan Museum of Art presents:
Intertwined Journeys: Poems by the Narratio Fellows, an event highlighting the stories around intertwined journeys of objects, people, and cultures from homelands to reimagined futures.
In the spring of 2020, excerpts from the Fellows’ reflections will be selected for display on labels in the galleries to coincide with a series of performances by Fellows in galleries and community centers in Syracuse and at Syracuse University. In this way, we seek to maintain the connection developed between the Fellows and the objects in the museum's collection, and expand the perspectives presented in the Met's galleries.
