When I go to Chalkida

When we go to Chalkida, we like to walk around the town and it’s great to go swimming in the sea for a few hours. I like to go shopping and buying things if I like them. Also, because of how the system with the paperwork for Asylum seekers and job searching is, I prepare my papers to allow me to find a job and to claim Asylum. There is a building run by the Greek authorities in Chalkida that we go to when we are asked to. They do all the paperwork and it takes about 1-2 months to get the correct papers such as AMKA papers for the hospitals as the doctors need to know this to give us help, and it helps for the pharmacist – if the prescription is too expensive, they will change it and give us the best price.

For me, I do this most of the time when I visit Chalkida – I like to hang out. Before, I went to school every day in Chalkida, but because it is now the summer, I don’t have to go to school until September!

When I go to Chalkida, first of all, I get a coffee. It is my ritual; it gives me energy for the day ahead! The coffee in Ritsona camp is great, but the coffee in Chalkida is something different!

Then, I usually just walk around and enjoy my time there. I go and eat where ever I like – I love to eat chicken wraps! Sometimes, I will see my friends in Chalkida, and we will sit together and talk with a coffee or we will go to the beach and swim.

My favourite game to play in Chalkida is 8 Ball Pool – I think I am a very good player, maybe a professional! There are about 10 tables, maybe more, so I never have to wait to play; I go in, and then I start playing immediately. The price is ok – 6 Euros for one hour, so I don’t play every time I go to Chalkida. It is more of a special treat to myself to play. I usually play against people from the Ritsona camp, but maybe one day I will meet someone and just ask them if they would like to play.

عندما نذهب الى خالكيدا، نحب أن نمشى حول المدينة و نسبح في البحر لبضع من الساعات. أنا

أحب أن أتسوق و أشتري أشياء تعجبني.

إنني أيضاً أستعد أوراقي حسب نظام الأوراق لطالب اللجوء و البحث عن العمل، لتساعدني أن أعثر

على عمل و أطلب اللجوء. يوجد هناك مبني في خالكيدا يديره السلطات اليونانية، نذهب اليه عندما

يُطلب منا ذلك. يديرون السلطات كل أوراقنا و قد يأخذهم شهر الى شهرين للحصول على الأوراق

.الصحيحة مثل أوراق AMKA التي يحتاجها الأطباء في المستشفيات حتى يتمكنوا من مساعدتنا

.تساعدنا هذه الأوراق أيضاً في الصيدليات في تنزيل الأسعار لو كانت الوصفة الطبية غالية

بالنسبة لي، هكذا أمضي وقتي في خالكيدا، أحب أن أتمشى. كنت أذهب الى المدرسة كل يوم في

عندما أذهب الى خالكيدا، أول شيء أفعله هو تنناول القهوة. من طقوسي شرب القهوة أولاً لأنها

تمنحنى الطاقة لبداية اليوم!القهوة في ريتسونا جيدة جداً لكن القهوة في هالكيدا شيء آخر! عادة بعد

!ذلك أتجول هناك و أستمتع بوقتي. أذهب وآكل متى ما أردت، أحب أن أكل ساندويتش الدجاج

أحياناً أرى أصدقائي في خالكيدا و نجلس ونتحدث معا أو نشرب القهوة أو نسبح في البحر. لعبتي

المفضلة في خالكيدا هي بلياردو . Ball أعتقد أنني لاعب جيد، ربما حتى محترف! هناك أكثر من

١٠ طاولات لذلك ما أنتظر لكي ألعب، فقط أذهب ثم أبدأ اللعب فورا. السعر متوسط وهو ٦ يورو

للساعة، لذلك لا ألعب في كل مرة أذهب، فهي أكثر من مكافئة خاصة لنفسي. عادة ألعب ضد ناس

.من ريتسونا لكن ربما يوما ما أقابل شخصاً ما و أسئله إن أحب أن يلعب
